Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Unfold puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
- 3. In a bowl, mix almond paste with the egg until smooth.
- 4. Spread the almond mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
- 5. Arrange apple slices over the frangipane in a decorative pattern.
- 6. Sprinkle granulated sugar evenly over the apples.
- 7. Fold the pastry border slightly inward around the edges.
- 8. Bake for 22โ28 minutes, until the pastry is golden and the apples are tender.
- 9. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
