Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) apricot halves in syrup, drained
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • 2. Spread the drained apricot halves evenly over the bottom of the dish.
  • 3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apricots.
  • 4. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, making sure to cover as much as possible.
  • 5. If using, sprinkle cinnamon and chopped nuts on top.
  • 6. Bake for 40โ€“45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
  • 7. Let cool for 10โ€“15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
