Description
A bold and cheesy homemade version of Nacho Cheese Doritos made completely gluten-free. Crunchy, flavorful, and perfect for snacking or parties.
Ingredients
6 gluten-free corn tortillas
2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric (for color, optional)
Salt to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cut each tortilla into 6 triangle-shaped pieces.
3. Place tortilla triangles in a bowl and toss with oil until lightly coated.
4. In a separate bowl, mix together nutritional yeast, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, turmeric, and salt.
5. Sprinkle seasoning mix over the oiled tortilla pieces and toss until evenly coated.
6. Spread chips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
8. Let cool slightly before serving. Chips will crisp further as they cool.
Notes
Use certified gluten-free corn tortillas to ensure the recipe is completely gluten-free.
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning blend.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days for best crunch.
