- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sliced or chopped almonds
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 325ยฐF (165ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. In a bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- 3. Mix in almond extract until combined.
- 4. Gradually add flour and mix just until a soft dough forms.
- 5. Gently fold in almonds.
- 6. Roll dough into small balls or shape into logs and slice.
- 7. Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet.
- 8. Bake for 12โ15 minutes, until edges are just lightly golden.
- 9. Cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep cookies tender.
- For extra almond flavor, sprinkle a few sliced almonds on top before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
