  • 1 cup toffee bits

Instructions

  • 1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Continue cooking until it foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  • 2. In a large bowl, whisk together browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  • 3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • 5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • 6. Fold in toffee bits and chocolate chips, if using.
  • 7. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • 8. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 9. Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  • 10. Bake for 10โ€“12 minutes, until edges are golden but centers are soft.
  • 11. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
