- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons milk (more as needed)
- 1/3 cup sprinkles
- 1/3 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts (optional, for coating)
Instructions
- 1. If desired, heat-treat the flour by microwaving it for 1 minute or baking at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria. Let it cool completely.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.
- 3. Add vanilla extract, salt, and milk, and mix until smooth.
- 4. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
- 5. Fold in sprinkles for a fun confetti look.
- 6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls.
- 7. Place the bites on a parchment-lined tray and chill for 20โ30 minutes to firm up.
- 8. (Optional) Melt white chocolate chips or candy melts, and dip or drizzle over the chilled bites.
- 9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use heat-treated flour if serving raw it makes the bites safe to eat!
- Swap vanilla for almond extract for a bakery-style flavor.
