Description

Soft, chewy cookies inspired by classic cannoli flavored with ricotta, orange zest, chocolate chips, and a dusting of powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, ricotta, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 3. Beat in egg, vanilla, and orange zest until well combined.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • 5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  • 6. Fold in mini chocolate chips and pistachios if using.
  • 7. Scoop dough into rounded tablespoons and place on prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • 8. Bake 10โ€“12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  • 9. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  • 10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For authentic cannoli flavor, donโ€™t skip the orange zest.
  • You can substitute ricotta with mascarpone for an even creamier texture.
