Description

A buttery, tender bundt cake with a rich cinnamon-sugar swirl running through the center, perfect for coffee breaks, brunch, or holiday gatherings.

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • Optional glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.
  • 2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • 3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  • 5. Mix in sour cream and milk until smooth.
  • 6. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • 7. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and melted butter to form the swirl mixture.
  • 8. Pour half the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Sprinkle cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over batter. Top with remaining batter and smooth the top.
  • 9. Bake for 55โ€“65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • 10. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  • 11. For glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cake before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure to grease and flour the bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
  • This cake keeps well for 3โ€“4 days wrapped at room temperature.
