Description
Bright blue, over-the-top cookies packed with chocolate chips, cookie chunks, and candy—just like Cookie Monster would love! Fun for kids’ parties and themed events.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–2 drops blue food coloring gel
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
1/4 cup mini cookies or mini chocolate chip cookies (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add egg, vanilla extract, and blue food coloring; mix well.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
6. Fold in semisweet chips, white chocolate chips, and crushed sandwich cookies.
7. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
8. Gently press a mini cookie on top of each dough ball for garnish.
9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
10. Cool for 5 minutes on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use gel food coloring for the brightest blue hue.
Swap mini cookies with edible eyes for a true Cookie Monster look.
Cookies will stay soft in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
