Description

Savory and festive stuffing balls made with turkey, cranberries, and herbs an easy holiday side dish or appetizer thatโ€™s perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sautรฉ onion and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • 3. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, sautรฉed onion mixture, bread cubes, cranberries, broth, egg, parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • 4. Mix until well combined. If mixture is too dry, add a little more broth; if too wet, add extra bread cubes.
  • 5. Shape mixture into golf ballโ€“sized balls and place on prepared baking sheet.
  • 6. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165ยฐF/74ยฐC).
  • 7. Serve warm as a side dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • These stuffing balls can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Great as a holiday side or served with gravy as finger food.
  • You can swap dried cranberries for chopped fresh cranberries for a tart kick.
