Description

Whimsical bite-sized cheesecake centers wrapped in fluffy cotton candy and coated in a crisp candy shell, this colorful, crunchy treat melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
  • 1 bag cotton candy (variety of colors)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 2 tsp coconut oil or shortening
  • Optional toppings: edible glitter, sprinkles, crushed candy

Instructions

  • 1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
  • 2. Fold in whipped topping until well combined.
  • 3. Scoop small teaspoon-sized portions of cheesecake filling and roll into balls.
  • 4. Place the cheesecake balls on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30 minutes until firm.
  • 5. Take small tufts of cotton candy and gently flatten them into discs.
  • 6. Wrap each chilled cheesecake ball with cotton candy, pressing lightly to seal โ€” work quickly to prevent melting.
  • 7. Re-freeze wrapped balls for 15 minutes while preparing coating.
  • 8. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate chips and coconut oil in 20-second intervals until smooth.
  • 9. Using a fork or skewer, dip each cotton candy ball into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
  • 10. Place coated bombs on parchment and decorate immediately with edible glitter or sprinkles.
  • 11. Chill for 10โ€“15 minutes until the shell hardens before serving.

Notes

  • Work in a cool, dry environment cotton candy dissolves easily with moisture.
  • Store cheesecake bombs in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, but serve soon after dipping for the best texture.
  • You can use colored candy melts to match the cotton candy colors for a themed look.
