Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • 3. Stir in flour until a soft dough forms.
  • 4. Press two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • 5. Bake the crust for 12โ€“15 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • 6. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the warm crust.
  • 7. Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  • 8. Sprinkle evenly with sea salt.
  • 9. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, until golden brown.
  • 10. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
