Description

Ingredients

  • 5 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • 2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • 3. Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • 4. In another bowl, combine gluten-free oats, gluten-free flour, brown sugar, and salt.
  • 5. Stir in melted butter and vanilla extract until the mixture forms a crumbly topping.
  • 6. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  • 7. Bake for 35โ€“40 minutes until the topping is golden and the apples are tender.
  • 8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use firm apples such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn for best texture.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
