These Golden Graham Rice Krispie Treats are an easy, no-bake family favorite, offering a delightful twist on the classic treat. Ingredients
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
10 oz Mini Marshmallows
6 cups Golden Grahams Cereal
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Prepare your pan: First, butter or spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray
- Melt butter: Next, in a large pot or Dutch oven, melt the butter over low heat
- Add marshmallows: Then, add the marshmallows to the melted butter. Stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth
- Stir in extracts & salt: Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt
- Combine with cereal: Quickly add the Golden Grahams cereal to the marshmallow mixture. Stir gently until all the cereal is evenly coated
- Press into pan: Finally, transfer the mixture to your prepared baking dish. Using buttered hands or a piece of wax paper, gently press the mixture evenly into the pan. Do not press too firmly
- Cool and cut: Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature, about 30-60 minutes. Then, cut them into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Always use fresh marshmallows; stale marshmallows do not melt as smoothly.
When pressing the mixture into the pan, use buttered hands or a piece of wax paper to prevent sticking and ensure a light texture.
Avoid over-compressing the treats in the pan; this can make them hard. Light pressure yields perfectly chewy treats.
For an extra burst of flavor, brown your butter slightly before adding the marshmallows to achieve a nutty undertone.
Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
For longer storage, freeze individual treats for up to 6 weeks. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
