Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)
  • 12โ€“14 Halloween Oreos (orange filling)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 3. Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • 5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • 6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • 7. Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough, flatten slightly, and place an Oreo in the center. Cover with another scoop of dough, sealing edges around Oreo.
  • 8. Place stuffed cookies on prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2โ€“3 inches apart.
  • 9. Bake for 12โ€“14 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  • 10. Cool slightly before serving warm for a gooey center.
