Ingredients

  • 7 oz almond paste
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Unfold puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • 3. Crumble almond paste into a bowl, add the egg, and mix until smooth.
  • 4. Spread the almond mixture lengthwise down the center of the puff pastry.
  • 5. Fold the long sides of the pastry slightly over the filling, leaving the center exposed.
  • 6. Bake for 20โ€“25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
  • 7. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with 1โ€“2 tablespoons of water to form a thick glaze.
  • 8. Drizzle glaze over the warm kringle before slicing and serving.
