- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 7 oz almond paste
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Unfold puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
- 3. Crumble almond paste into a bowl, add the egg, and mix until smooth.
- 4. Spread the almond mixture lengthwise down the center of the puff pastry.
- 5. Fold the long sides of the pastry slightly over the filling, leaving the center exposed.
- 6. Bake for 20โ25 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- 7. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with 1โ2 tablespoons of water to form a thick glaze.
- 8. Drizzle glaze over the warm kringle before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of almond extract to the glaze if desired.
