Description
A rich and buttery dump cake packed with crunchy pecans and sweet filling easy to make with minimal prep and maximum flavor. Great for holidays and gatherings.

- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 can (21 oz) pecan or butter pecan pie filling (or substitute apple pie filling with added pecans)
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- 2. Spread crushed pineapple evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- 3. Spoon the pecan pie filling over the pineapple and spread gently.
- 4. Sprinkle cinnamon over the fruit layers, if using.
- 5. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix on top of the fruit—do not stir.
- 6. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
- 7. Top with chopped pecans.
- 8. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- 9. Let cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- For extra crunch, lightly toast the pecans before adding.
- You can mix and match pie fillings apple or pumpkin work well with pecans.
- Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
