Ingredients
1 teaspoon matcha powder
1/2 cup hot water (not boiling, about 175°F / 80°C)
1/2 cup raspberry puree or juice
1 teaspoon honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
Ice cubes (if serving iced)
Fresh raspberries or mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy.
2. In a separate glass or cup, pour raspberry puree or juice.
3. If desired, stir in honey or sweetener to the raspberry mixture.
4. Add ice cubes to a serving glass if making iced tea.
5. Pour the raspberry base into the glass, then gently pour in the prepared matcha.
6. Stir to combine or leave layered for a striking visual effect.
7. Garnish with fresh raspberries or mint leaves before serving.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen raspberries blended and strained to make a simple puree.
Adjust sweetness to taste depending on the tartness of the raspberries.
To serve hot, skip the ice and warm the raspberry puree slightly before mixing.
