- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or agave nectar
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (or any plant-based milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: coconut whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate, or fresh berries
Instructions
- 1. Add the avocados, cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and salt to a food processor or blender.
- 2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- 3. Taste and adjust sweetness or cocoa as desired.
- 4. Divide the mousse into small serving bowls or jars.
- 5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to develop.
- 6. Top with coconut whipped cream, berries, or shaved chocolate if desired.
Notes
- Use very ripe avocados for the smoothest texture and mildest flavor.
- For a darker chocolate flavor, add an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder.
- The mousse keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For a nutty twist, add a spoonful of almond or peanut butter before blending.
