3 medium ripe bananas
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pa
  2. Mash the bananas well in a large bowl
  3. Stir in the melted butter and sugar
  4. Whisk in the egg and vanilla
  5. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined. Do not overmix
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pa
  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center comes out clea
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for best natural sweetness.

Measure flour correctly by spooning it into the cup and leveling it off.

Do not overmix the batter to avoid a tough texture.
