1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
16 oz full-fat cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp instant espresso powder
1 tbsp hot water
8 oz frozen whipped topping


Instructions

  1. Mix chocolate graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into a 9×13 dish and chill for 10 minutes
  2. Dissolve instant espresso powder in hot water until smooth. Let cool slightly
  3. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until combined
  4. Pour cooled espresso mixture into cream cheese mixture and beat until fully combined and creamy
  5. Gently fold thawed whipped topping into coffee-cheese mixture until no white streaks remai
  6. Spread filling evenly over chilled crust. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight

Notes

For clean slices, dip knife in hot water before cutting.

Store covered in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Does not freeze well.

Can be made 2 days ahead. Overnight chilling yields best texture and flavor.
