Instructions

  1. Grab a microwave-safe mug that holds at least 10 ounces
  2. Add the Nutella and the egg to the mug. Whisk together with a fork until smooth and fully combined
  3. Add the flour. Stir vigorously until no dry streaks remain. The batter should be thick and glossy
  4. Microwave on high power for 45 to 60 seconds. Start checking at 45 seconds. The brownie should look set at the edges but slightly soft in the center
  5. Let it cool for one minute before serving

Notes

Use a large mug to prevent overflow; the batter expands as it cooks.

Grease the mug lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.

Do not overmix the batter; overmixing creates a tough brownie.
